The Grand Prix Series is drawing to a close

With only a few events left the likely winners of this years grand prix series are emerging.  Tony Main is running away with the top prize in the M60-69 category as is Graham Currie in the M50-59 group although he has some competition from Steven King and the Leach brothers.  It is closer still in the 40-49 age group where Paul Brown has a narrow lead from Graeme Downs followed by Gordon Mitchell.  In the M20-39 category Peter Muir leads followed by Chris Wilkinson and Scott Young.

Kay Stokes has a clear lead in the F60-69 category although Tricia Bell in second place could still win depending on the results of the remaining races, and Sandra Main is in third place.  It is very close in the F50-59 which is currently lead by Jane Raper followed by Kath Blakey and Deborah Clift.  Sue Tindall leads Caroline Wilson and Jen Milsom in the F40-49 group, and Lois Muir, Gemma Pearson and Rebecca Kirton are in the podium positions for the 20-39 ladies.  Paige McLeod has had some great results again this season and is the top junior and also the top ladies point scorer.

The current standings can be viewed here, but there is time for it all to change depending on the results of the last few events.  Only the best five results count and you need to have completed a minimum of three events to qualify for a prize.  Prize giving will be at our AGM later this year date TBC.
