Long time Cleveland Wheelers, Richard Williamson and Daniel Smith have recently gone into business and set up an online bike shop called Velo29.
The 2 local riders have spent the last 6 months putting this project together and you can now find the shop at www.velo29.com . "Our principle is to bring together all the good points of shopping online together with the convenience of your favourite bike shop" says Richard. "We aim to offer a good range of bikes you wouldn't normally expect to see in a local shop with the price advantage of shopping online. You can even custom build your bike with our software, choosing components that suit your needs and budget".
The guys stock some really nice brands, "We put a lot of effort into stocking frame brands of a certain quality, we’ve got 6 frame suppliers on board now and we feel they are all unique and fit well with our values. There’s Basso, Pro-Lite, Cinelli, Velo-Vie, FSC and Tifosi. All are very different covering all budgets and tastes.”
Velo29 can also supply all your consumables and carry a good range of stock on the day to day stuff.
"We've got all the essentials in stock" says Dan, "Tyres, Tubes etc as well as all the components from Shimano and Campag, we are working hard to be really competitive on price, I think everyone would agree we're pretty close to all the big online shops".
The guy's are offering a 10% discount to all Cleveland Triathlon Club Members until the end of May, just give the guys a call on 01287 625 394 or log-on to www.velo29.com
