Well Done Dave and Carol
Dave and Carol Murray both competed in the GBR Age Group team on April 21st at the European Duathlon Championships in Horst, Netherlands. Run 15 km , bike 60 km, run 7,5 km. Both were extremely happy to complete the course well within stiff elimination times, which took a few competitors out of the race. Carol finished 5th in her AG in 03:57:30 and Dave 18th in his AG in 03:36:33. This was a particular achievement against the odds for Dave, who fractured his scapula and 4 ribs when he came off his bike less than 6 weeks before hand. added 29-04-13

Cleveland Double Steelman - Cheapest Ironman distance event in the country - Now accepting team entries
NOTE 1: This event will NOT be cancelled due to low number's... so get training.
NOTE 2: Please do not enter the Double Steelman until you have thoroughly read and understood the race information, which can be found here. Here are the course maps for this event: swim bike run.

Something which we hope triathletes will find exciting for 2013. As a one off we have decided that in 2013 the ever popular Cleveland Steelman will be a Double Steelman making it an Ironman distance event! With a £85 entry fee the idea behind this is to enable members and other local triathletes to compete at this distance without it costing a fortune. This will be our usual style  'no frills ' event to enable us the keep the price down. We can't run this without help from our members! We are hoping that those that don't want to give it a go will put your name down for a  shift of marshalling. We are hoping to make this a fun weekend including a BBQ and camping for those who want to join in. The date for this will be Saturday July 20th 2013. updated 20-01-13

IMPORTANT: Club Membership
Now the membership is up and running can you all make sure you have renewed your membership, to continue to receive subsidized swimming sessions. Please also make sure that you have the correct e-mail address and phone number in case we need to contact you about pool closures etc. The links for both adult and junior membership can be found on the left hand side of this page.
It is a condition of membership within Cleveland Triathlon Club that ALL members marshal one of our events. Year after year it is the same people turning up to help, many of whom are not even club members. We would appreciate that once you have made your selection for the event you are willing to marshal you honor that commitment. Please be considerate to the event organisers who already have a hard enough job to do with out being let down at the last minute.
The cost of membership and entry fee's for events are kept low because of voluntary helpers, if we have to start paying for marshals the membership and event entry fees will increase.
