  Swimming - Sunday 23rd March - Charity Swimathon - Children 12th April
Well done to everyone who came along tonight to take part in the swimathon to raise money for Gaby, especially the people who had already competed earlier in the day at runs or duathlons and were probably quite tired!
We have been adding together all the figures and we collectively swam 66 miles which is three crossings of the channel (good job it was in the pool or we would all be stuck in France), 42 people came and swam and we made £500.
Well done everyone!! If any one wants to donate please see the details below.

There is a little girl who needs our help; 11 year old Gaby, Grand-daughter of Cleveland Wheeler Keith Alderson has been diagnosed with an aggressive rare childhood cancer, chemotherapy has been so far unsuccessfully and has prevented Gaby doing the everyday things an 11 year old girl should be doing; going to school, seeing her friends, eating and drinking, Unfortunately the only further treatment that is available is abroad. Gaby's family are trying to raise £500k to get her the treatment she needs.

IMPORTANT: Club Membership
Now the membership is up and running can you all make sure you have renewed your membership, to continue to receive subsidized swimming sessions. Please also make sure that you have the correct e-mail address and phone number in case we need to contact you about pool closures etc. The links for both adult and junior membership can be found on the left hand side of this page.
It is a condition of membership within Cleveland Triathlon Club that ALL members marshal one of our events. Year after year it is the same people turning up to help, many of whom are not even club members. We would appreciate that once you have made your selection for the event you are willing to marshal you honor that commitment. Please be considerate to the event organisers who already have a hard enough job to do with out being let down at the last minute.
The cost of membership and entry fee's for events are kept low because of voluntary helpers, if we have to start paying for marshals the membership and event entry fees will increase.
