New – And the winner is………….

There was a mistake in the previous post because I had missed a ladies 40-49 result.  I have now revised the spreadsheet and the text of this post.  If anyone knows of any other errors or omissions then please let us know ASAP.

This is the grandprix series we are talking about and the athlete with more points than anyone else is Paul Brown.  He has had an amazing season and has consistently been near the top of every leader board.   He has top place in the 40-49 category followed by Graeme Downs and Gordon Mitchell.

Graham Currie leads the 50-59 age group with Mark Leach second and Steven King third.  Mark has two ironman results that make up the bulk of his score whereas Graham and Steven made their points on Olympic and sprint distance races.

Tony Main has won the 60-69 category and Peter Muir has won the 20-39 category with Scott Young in second place.

The top scorer for the ladies this season has been Paige Mcleod who has also been doing great things and is our top junior.  Lois Muir is not far behind her and has won the 20-39 category.  Angela Ackerley has stormed the ladies 40-49 age group curtesey of her Ironman performance in Tallinn.  Caroline Wilson came second with Sue Tindall third.

Pauline Johnson has won the 50-59 age group but the most competitive category for the ladies this year has been the 60-69 age group.  Kay Stokes came out winner with Sandra Main second and Tricia Bell third.

The full results can be seen here.  Prizes will be awarded at the AGM, date to be announced shortly.
